Charlie Kirk

Many speak of, “needless death,” of, “gone too soon.” Yet, circumstance is our reality. The word, “circumstance,” is a word bandied around as though it were a minor thing such as, “circumstantial evidence.” It is difficult to convict the guilty when evidence is circumstantial. Two subjects at the right place at the right time is what we consider a drunk driver who slams head on into another person’s car. Death is sometimes circumstantial and other times predictable. Yet, either way, it is finality.

Charlie Kirk was a person who had his own belief system and was able to spread the word, both his and Gods, to many people. In these times, and peculiar to these times, we are living in a time in which his killing was rife with circumstance. Circumstance is, by definition, unpredictable yet speaking of God has always been asking for trouble. Add Christ into the mix and it can, potentially, put a target on your back. Especially in times when religious thought, expressed out loud, is frowned upon politically by one wing of the world, not just in America. In this is the circumstance of Charlie Kirk.

He was considered a political enemy by the extreme left and his killing would seem to be only a matter of time. A couple of things came out of his death however. A certain truth written in the bible as concerns our times. This is, after all, the dirty underbelly of our times as written about in the bible in Matthew 24. We are in times expressly cited by Christ as “godless” times. Time where love is not shown but the opposite is true. Hate of we who believe is demonstrated by more and more individuals to the point that circumstance has a better chance of being in the right place at the right time for death to appear. These are the times we are in and it shows in the circumstances of Charlie Kirk’s needless assassination and the misery this has caused so many. Yet, it was written down so that we would know of it two thousand years ago.

Dangerous times are times when circumstance is given legs to walk about among us.
