Let’s Talk

You can find me on X – @oldeink76 should you want to be bored unto death by my prattle. Prattle is what I deem to be couching what I really think so as to stop nuclear discussion from those who disagree with everything I say. I am quite used to not being agreed with but it comes with the territory of having seen, not all, but most of it before.

Agreement usually means that a person who is right gives a nod to a person that is wrong to avoid entanglement. Since combat in Vietnam I do not worry about entanglement. I worry about the “why” of conflict. I hate conflict! Unfortunately, this world loves conflict which is the reason I read the bible. If you simply cannot live without fighting it is good to know what God thinks as He is the foremost authority of right and wrong.

I am posting this as my belief system in God stems from the challenges of staying alive when the opposite was so easily brought upon me. I absolutely know that prayer saw me through to come back home, not in a body bag. From the moment I separated from the military I have grown closer and closer to God in my life and it has paid as I learned that He is glad to give His forgiveness to even the worst of us.

So, if you’re up for it, let’s talk. I am older than the proverbial dirt and there is no good reason I should have gotten this old when so many of my brothers and sisters in arms never had a chance. It is also why, though I like only a few politicians, I am not political. Politicians start wars and their countries children go there to get killed while they grow old in politics and get rich. God doesn’t like this.
